Protected Files

There are two type of protected resources provided by WAA.  By protected, we mean that we ask you to provide some information about yourself before we allow access.   Before you do anything, you should register for Action Alert notices clicking the “Click Here to receive action alerts” button on the home page.

The two types of restricted access are:

The Family Forum

This is the preferred way to gain access to protected materials.  If you apply this way, you will automatically be added to the Yahoo Group mentioned below (you’ll need a Yahoo log in to have full access).  To do this, go to the Family Forum Registration page.

You will need to create a registration that is separate from the main site.  It is strong suggested that you register using the same user name and password that you used when you registered for email Action Alert notices on the main site.  That way you will only have to remember on set of credentials.

The Yahoo Washington-Autism-Advocacy Group

This is best for folks who would like to read both formal announcements and less formal “discussion”-type email message.  You can get these messages in your email program of choice and you need not access a Web site to read them.

However, if you want to access the Yahoo group page, you will need to enter your Yahoo login.  If you do log into the Yahoo site, you will be able to access files such as Microsoft Word Documents that are stored there.  To apply for access to this resource you can go directly to the Washington-Autism-Advocacy Yahoo Group homepage and click on the “Join this group” button.  You will have to create a Yahoo account.
