Gift of Time - Spectrum Respite & Recreation

Registration is closed for this event
Recreational activities under the guidance of social skills coaches.

The Gift of Time respite program strengthens families with youth ages 11-19 with autism by giving the parents or caregivers a much needed break.  A dynamic group of volunteers bring supported recreational programming to tweens and teens with autism in a safe and calm environment.

Behavioral health staff will oversee trained volunteers - who are closely monitored and supported.  Gift of Time staff and mentors provide a crucial sense of normalcy to the adolescents through shared joy and respect.  Pre-registration and admission is required prior to attendance.  Please note - we need to get to know your child's unique likes, dislike, challenges and strengths; identify the right volunteer mentor and ensure we have a very good fit prior to placing with a volunteer.  Once your registration is received and accepted, you will be contacted to schedule a meet and greet, at our Redmond office, to ensure the proper match between youth and staff.
